Thankfulness
Personally I love my family, hugs, sunsets, puppy breathe, heart pictures, a cool breeze, hot..hot food, babies cooing, goat antics, a seed budding thru the soil, laughing out loud…I could go on and on here!
Hence Thankful Recordings…so what are you thankful for right at this moment? Record it right here! The only rule, don’t think about the past or even what tomorrow may bring…it’s this itty bitty moment in time that matters, brings hope and a chance for respite.
Fuel for this page…Giving Thanks Every Day, Thanksgiving Year!

Happy to be meeting my mom for lunch today. It has been a while since I have seen her!
What better way to spend a few moments of each day, no matter how bad (or good) things are, and focus an “attitude of gratitude” on some one thing, event or being which we are thankful for? When we stop the madness that life sometimes brings for a moment and give thanks…It brings about a peaceful epiphany and paradigm shift of sorts (as the secondary definitions of epiphany in Websters relate): a usually sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something (2) : an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event) usually simple and striking (3) : an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure. I’m thankful for those amazing and creative moments of grace that trigger the most meaningful epiphanys in our lives… and help us wake up the true gratitude sleeping in our souls. Thank you Boshima for your renaissance lens of Thanksgiving and thank you Correen for promoting it here on Squid Report. Happy Thanksgiving!
Sleep did not come easy last night, yet I am happy to be here in the quiet still of the morning.
It’s not that I have not been thankful – just busy, busy putting our life in order! Forgot about this poem that I wrote last year…so for today thankful that I found it and can share it here.
“SWEET”
Sweet kisses in the morning
make me dream of the day.
Sweet candy on a Saturday
is the fairs best offering.
Sweet tales of travel to exotic places
has my heart wondering there too.
Sweet breezes on a summer porch
is totally what lemonade is for.
Sweet sounding baas from the barn
assure me a stampede of little feet.
Sweet tomatoes hanging on the vine
just before the late summer harvest.
Sweet friends encouraging me to write,
now that’s what life is all about.
Thankful for the simple pleasure of going to see the new George Clooney movie with a couple of friends today, and thankful it weather has let up some since last week. A bright bright sunny day reflecting the snow on the ground, future’s so bright, gotta wear shades.
I thought George already premiered in a private showing
Thank you for adding your thoughts.
Yeah well, that too…VERY private…so had to attend film to keep up public appearances and all, ya know. Got a little jealous of his female co-star, then the moron dumped him. George was hot as always and lots of St. Louis scenes, but the story itself? Not exactly uplifting.
Right now at this moment I am THRILLED to have found that crazy place called crabbysbeach!
Thank you Carolan for reminding me about my own spot here on the Internet to shout. Mark just got called back to work for the railroad…breathe, realize, dream and keep all our energy alive for those still struggling in this economy.
Thank you to Alex for making our blogging community here on Crabbys Beach a beautiful place to be!
